Terms & Conditions

Team players, officials, and parents are expected to behave in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. Serious and/or repeated incidents of poor sportsmanship may result in a team's expulsion from the tournament with no refund of entry fees

BCSA Affiliation

The SBMC Spring Soccer Tournament is a BCSA sanctioned tournament. As such, entry is restricted to teams, which are properly affiliated with the BC Soccer Association and/or other Provincial/State Associations. Teams participating from outside the jurisdiction of the BC Soccer Association must first receive the written approval from the Provincial or State Association of which they are affiliated. Only properly registered players in good standing (and players holding short term event permits) shall be permitted to participate in the tournament.

Payment Policy

Tournament registrations are limited and are given on a first-come-first-serve basis and only a full payment will ensure you are eligible to be accepted into the Tournament. Payment in full will be due 30 days prior to the start of the Tournament

Payments must be made online. Our payment portal accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express Cards online. Your spot in the Tournament is not secure until your payment has been processed and accepted.

*Credit Card Refunds have a 2.9% Fee that is unavoidable from the processing company, any refund will not be a full amount due to the fee*

Tournament Team Cancellation Policy

A $25.00 processing fee will be charged, for any cancellation by a Tournament team or team's representative, prior to 30 days of the Tournament start date. As stated below, there will be no refund for any cancellations within 30 days of the Tournament start date.

SBMC requires all cancellation requests be made in writing. The payment refund shall be determined as follows:

  • 100% less $25 processing fee if written cancellation is received before January 19, 2019
  • 75% less $25 processing fee if written cancellation is received after January 19, 2019, and before February 8, 2019
  • No refund for any cancellations within 30 days of the Tournament start date (after February 8, 2019)

Tournament Groups and Team Placement Policy

  • A balanced approach will be applied to the teams group formation process
  • A group is expected to be created when circumstance applies, but not necessarily guaranteed
  • Tournament committee decision on team placement in tournament games age group is final

Weather Related Tournament Policy

Safety permitting, every attempt will be made to play a scheduled tournament game. This may require that games be relocated to fields that are more suitable for the weather conditions. If it is not possible to play because of unsafe weather conditions, the game may be rescheduled or cancelled.

Refunds for Cancelled Games

There is always a risk that weather may cause games to be cancelled. Refunds payable to teams for cancelled games will reflect that fact that some tournament expenses are fixed and so refunds will be calculated on the basis of the following formula:

(number of games cancelled)/4  times (80% of Entry Fee Paid)
